dont panic

i bottled my beer yesterday.  ‘Argument IPA’ is what it will be called.  Colleen is designing a label for it.  Today i prepared a hard cider.  Im not sure how it will turn out.  The beer that is in the bottles now is going to taste good.  I have taken little tastes through the fermentation process and it has gotten better and better.  I am really excited.  Im thinking about one or two weeks and it will be done.  The cider…im not sure how long it will take.  Recipes online say that it takes months, but drew and matt have said that it will only take a month or so, we will see how it turns out.

i leave for summer camp on monday.  Im excited.  Not as excited as all the other times, but this year there were two camps and the last camp got ruined for me by the flu.  This one is going to be a lot of fun though.  There are a lot more kids and counselors, and although that is a lot more work, there will be a lot more to do and that will make it more fun.

Colleen is back, and its good.  Its good to have her around again.

I got my gameboy sp back from gab yesterday.  I bought castlevania and have played it tons and tons since i bought it.  It is a fun game.  I got it back because i got a job at Nicks parents coffee stand.  I guess you will do a bit of standing around there so i need something to keep me busy.  I want a DS but thats too much money to spend now.  I will just keep buying new games for the SP.

colleenie gets home today.  i am very very excited.  i have had to do lots of things to keep me and my mind busy through the day.  since i have quit my job and am not currently looking for another, i have a lot of free time.  This morning i woke up and watched superman, the first one.  Then I got ready and played with the dog for awhile.  Then i took the cd changer out of my sisters car so my mom can have it put into hers, we are selling my sisters car.  Then i cleaned my car inside and outside.  It really needed it.  I even vaccuumed it.  Now I am cleaning my room.  Its almost done, then i need to mow the lawn, but its getting kinda hot out so i dont know if i want to do it, i probably will.

tonight is open mic night down at jackson creek pizza, i think.  Im thinking of going, colleens plane doesnt get in until 11.  thats a long ways away.

colleen gets back tommorow night.  Im really excited for her return.  i miss her a lot, but thats a good thing.  If i didnt miss her there would be something wrong.  enough mushy stuff

i spent a lot of yesterday getting my ducks in a row for school.  I had to go out to ashland to meet with an advisor to get re admitted to school.  It is a lot of work for me to return.  But it will be worth it.  Im just frustrated that this will tie me to the valley for at least another 3 more months.  I want to get out of here so bad.

I spent this morning reading on the internet about atheism and Norman Borlaug.  the subjects are unrelated but equally facinating.  did you know that atheist groups are frequently denied tax exempt status as a church because there is no god that they worship.  Ridiculous.  Atheism is so frowned upon in our culture.  In a study, atheism was the least trusted group of any other religion.  I want to start a “free thinkers/atheist” group in medford.  There isnt currently one that i have found.

Colleen left for LA yesterday.  She will be gone for 10 long boring days.  She is going to visit her friend Kristin.  Im really happy for her going, she really needed a good vacation from this valley.

Im quitting my job at cingular.  I composed an email, i just have to send it.  Its just tough to hit that send button.  Im quitting because of some of the things that they have done recently.  I got the flu a couple weeks ago.  Probably the worst flu i have ever had.  I missed one day of work and they took half of my bonus.  We get a bonus if we hit a total amount of sales each month.  Its not the money thing that im upset about, its that if you miss a day you loose half of your bonus.  But there are people sick all the time, and i doubt that they have taken their bonus.  I have been lead to believe that it was just a tough day and someone else quit the same day, and they were short so it hurt them that i was not there.  It shouldnt be situational, they should follow through with every rule(that probably didnt make sense, but this is a rant).
They also promoted two girls that know less and have less experience than i do.  That really pisses me off.  I work my ass of and am constantly told that im doing a good job.  I ask for constructive criticism so that i can improve, always asking good questions, and helping other employees out, but they give it to two other girls that dont know shit.  That place needs to go under.

We are having a small summer storm. I guess a large summer storm for here, but we really never get any so its big. The sky turned black and rain fell for a short time. I went outside just to see it. I walked to the mailbox and back. I love this weather in the summer. Its the equivalent to it snowing in the winter. During a summer storm everything settles. It is calm outside except for the sudden burst of lightning, and it is silent until the delayed rumble of thunder, rolling to you from far away. Its so warm outside and the air is thick. The cool rain feels good. A beautiful night

as always this post starts off with me saying that there isnt much new going on. Life just ticks on, with little bumps in the road but everything is about the same.

Ive started brewing beer. I started it thursday night. It is brewing in the closet and i find it really fun to go and sit and watch the percolator. the more it clicks the closer it gets to beer…5 gallons of it. It should be beer in about 5 weeks or so. i cant wait.

Last night I hung out with some friends from work. I was at Donelleys playing pool witht the boys when i saw brianne and kelsey come in. I ended up going and hanging out with them and a few other people from work. Then we went to their house, then went to howies where i met colleen. She drove me home, i was pretty wasted and having a good time. We came back here and tried to watch SLC Punk, but passed out half way through it. Maybe we will make it through tonight.

Im getting very tired of cingular. They dont treat me the best. They do on a personal level but they have some pollicies that are ridicuolous and are not fair to the employee. Im looking for new work.

Im also planning on going back to school in the fall. My ducks are getting in a row for me to return.
