ok, i havnt blogged in awhile and i said that I was going to, and denise recently pointed this out to me.  Im horrible at this lately.  Truth of the matter is that I have tried to blog but have been so out of practice that I will write something and not like it and just never post it.  So theres that.

Work is going very well.  Its stressful, but we have a great staff and its supposed to be stressful otherwise i wouldnt worry about it so thats a great thing.
Im heading to medford this weekend.  So if you read this and want to hang out let me know.

with that i will say that im out of blogging shape but will write more later, hopefully, no promises.

just acquired the new ‘Band of Horses’ album. Its great. totally worth checking out.

Life right now is going really well. Its really nice. I absolutely love my job. I look forward to going every day and come home so happy and full of energy. Its the greatest place ever.
School is going well. I’m working really hard and am spending a decent amount of time studying and what not and its paying off.
My neighbors are the coolest people ever and I have spent a decent amount of my recent time with them. There is nothing like having good fun friends right next door. Yesterday we went hiking around Eagle Creek and went chantrell hunting.  so good.  And we made dinner with them tonight.

Anyways, i think im gonna start blogging again.

I really want to start posting again.  I feel like my blogging skills have gone down the drain.  I dont even know what to post anymore, but have an urge to.

I registered for school today.  I was not going to go this term, but in then end decided that it would be a good idea for me to stay in school rather than taking a term off.  We will see how that all pans out, but i really think its where i need to be.

per request of denise i will re join the blogging world. I dont really have all that much to write about. After 10 weeks in Maine you would think that I would have a ton to talk about but I really dont.

Maybe I will post more later, but this is really just so that I can say that Im blogging again.

just over a week ago our cat Ichabod had kittens.  There were 4 of them but one died in labor, so now we have three.  They are beautiful little kitties.  Without really knowing who the father is, our cat is a slut, and having the kittens look like they are the product of Ichabod and Jack (our other cat), and both are females, we decided that they were a product of god and she got pregnant through immaculate conception.  Jack would be Joseph and Ichabod Mary.  The kittens are now named: Jesus 1, Jesus 2, and Jebus.  They are the cat equivilant of the feline messiah.  So if you live in the portland area and want a cute little kittie jesus 1 & 2 are still up for grabs.

Jesus 1 & 2 are the mainly black ones and Jebus is the black and white one.  But you cant really make out Jesus 2 in this picture.  He is somewhere in the pile of fluff

This weekend was so much fun. I spent the weekend with a lot of friends. Most of it was spent with my new friend Susanna. We had a lot of fun together. Friday night we went out to one of her co workers house and helper her build a garden. It was a lot of fun. Her friend is a character.
Lucas was in town for the weekend so we met up with him and one of his friends later on in the evening and went to the Triple Nickel. We had a lot of fun there hanging out and drinking and a really fun walk back.

Now my sister is in town and we are having a lot of fun hanging out together. We are so different but still have a good time together. We went to Bridgeport Brewing last night downtown to have dinner. Very good.

I came to some realizations about my life and myself this weekend. Ive still got to do a bit of pondering on the subjects before i really want to talk about them here, but have spent a lot of time in my head thinking about them. I

Today is Towel Day. It is in memory of Douglas Adams, author of the Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. Here is the all about it from the Towel Day Website:

What do I do?

Carry your towel with you throughout the day to show your participation and mourning.
When do I do it?

May 25th.

Where do I do it?

Everywhere.

Why a towel?

To quote from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.

A towel, it says, is about the most massively useful thing an interstellar hitch hiker can have. Partly it has great practical
value – you can wrap it around you for warmth as you bound across the cold moons of Jaglan Beta; you can lie on it on the brilliant marble-sanded beaches of Santraginus V, inhaling the heady sea vapours; you can sleep under it beneath the stars which shine so redly on the desert world of Kakrafoon; use it to sail a mini raft down the slow heavy river Moth; wet it for use in hand-to-hand-combat; wrap it round your head to ward off noxious fumes or to avoid the gaze of the Ravenous Bugblatter Beast of Traal (a mindboggingly stupid animal, it assumes that if you can’t see it, it can’t see you – daft as a bush, but very ravenous); you can wave your towel in emergencies as a distress signal, and of course dry yourself off with it if it still seems to be clean enough.

More importantly, a towel has immense psychological value. For some reason, if a strag (strag: non-hitch hiker) discovers that a hitch hiker has his towel with him, he will automatically assume that he is also in possession of a toothbrush, face flannel, soap, tin of biscuits, flask, compass, map, ball of string, gnat spray, wet weather gear, space suit etc., etc. Furthermore, the strag will then happily lend the hitch hiker any of these or a dozen other items that the hitch hiker might accidentally have “lost”. What the strag will think is that any man who can hitch the length and breadth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through, and still knows where his towel is is clearly a man to be reckoned with.

I absolutely love my apartment complex.  Right outside my door is an enormous front yard with trees and plants and flowers and tons of grass, a perfect place to chill.  So we spend many hours sitting on the front step drinking and smoking and socializing.  Whenever someone walks by they usually end up hanging out for a beer or something.  We are friends with most people in the complex.  So last night as im coming home from hanging out with Gab, Miranda was just leaving to go to the bar, My Fathers Place (Portlands Greatest Dive), and invited me along.  So I went with and hung out with all of her friends and what not.  Stuff like this is happening all the time and I love the community that I live in.
